I think that it is impossible for the black panthers to work together with the nonviolent activists. I believe this because the Black Panthers support violence; even if they use it as a last resort. If they were to join forces with nonviolent activists acheiving civil rights would have taken much longer because when the nonviolent protesters protested they tried to make it look as if the minority was being unfairly treated or harassed by the majority. If the they were to join together then it would not look one sided for the minority would have been fighting back againist the police and white civilians physically. For instance on Bloody Sunday when the six hundred peaceful protesters were attacked by state troopers and police the protesters may have had to fight back with guns and other weapons. If the protester were to fight back againist the troopers and police then the public veiwers would have seen it as six hundred violent protesters, and the troopers would have been seen as "protecting the peace". All in all I do not believe that the Black Panthers and the nonviolent civil rights activists could have worked together because they beliefs and methods about civil rights would have clashed head to head.

Also I believe that book was fine. The way the book was written showed what life was like back in the civil rights era. Eventhough the ending of this book is sad I would have to say it was okay.
