I think that while it may have been possible for the two to work together, it would have been difficult. Both groups had very different beliefs; I don't think that the nonviolent would be alright with being violent, and I don't think that the Black Panthers would want to do things the way that Sam's father did. That said, I think that they would be able to give each other ideas and work together on a more indirect level, I just don't think they would work as one group.

I did like the book; I thought it was interesting and realistic.
