For me, it would be a bit hard not to get angry about the violence directed towards African Americans. I would find it hard not to fight back, but still, by fighting back, you would be under the blame as well as the party who started the fight. I believe that Sam should be the better man, and stick with his father's wishes. Using a gun to threaten people may be better than using it to hurt people, but still is not a clean way of acting.
