I maybe could act in a violent way to stand up for myself and others, but NOT in the way the Black Panthers do--with guns. Sam and other african americans shouldn't get violent because that gives the police and others reason to hate them and be violent back towards them. Nonviolence is the only way to back up a point without giving others a reason to be mad at you. Nonviolence seems to be getting the point across, but they still have a long way to go.
