I think Sam's lack of knowledge and experience plays a big part in his decision. Sam thinks to himself in the book that he doesn't know much about the Black Panthers. I think that Sam should first learn more about the Black Panthers and then make his decision. In the end, I think that if were Sam I would side with Father. I would choose that side because it's the peaceful side, and I would have less of a chance of getting killed.
